Wrong language in myhub.autodesk360.com - how do I get English back?

For a while now, my myhub.autodesk360.com is responding to me in German text.

Can anyone help me in getting this back to English?

I don't recall ever switching it to German, not sure what happened there...  It's not a big deal: I live close to the German border & am familiar with the language, but (if I can't switch to my own language [i.e. Dutch]) I'd prefer to have English for my computer language. Especially as Fusion is using English as well.

I'd appreciate any guidance you could provide. 🙂

Hey Harry-

I'm not an A360 Expert but have a couple ideas.

Method One: Check Language Settings

  1. Click your circular profile image in the top right of the A360 Hub
  2. Go to my Account
  3. Go to Settings
  4. Go to Prefereces
  5. Make sure you're on English

Method Two: A360 Forum

  1. Visit https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/a360-forum/bd-p/205
  2. Create a post and ask 🙂

Hope this helps!

Hi Aaron,

Thanks for the pointers:

Method One: Check Language Settings: The language setting was configured as English...

Interestingly, this profile settings page was correctly displayed in English: I switched it to Dutch & the account settings page also switched correctly to Dutch. When refreshing & reloading the myhub.autodesk360.com page in turn, it was again showing in German. Setting the profile back to English & trying again, brought no improvment: it's "immer noch alles im Deutsch" (= still all in German).

Which - I guess - brings me to Method Two: I'll try that.  🙂

Thanks & cheers,

Harry.

Hi Mr.Harry Doldersum,

Your internet provider could change location or IP address, which in turn might be used by to devise country of origin of a client (you).

The other possibility is that border of your country itself has changed... Check the current german's maps ;).

Good points!

- Provider location has remained unchanged: checks out, still the same provider at the same location (both IP & physical).

- German / Dutch borders unchanged: yup, also constant - still at the same place as where we all left 'm in 1945.

Thanks, though. 🙂

Cheers,

Harry.

Check the language preferences in your web browser - the order of accepted/preferred languages.

Hi Vladimir,

Turns out, that hit the nail on the head - the browser had German listed *higher* on the language preferences list as English!

I bumped English up & all is well again.  🙂

Many thanks for your tip, much appreciated!

Cheers,

Harry.

I came accross with this post as I had the same problem you did. I used to live in Germany, but funnily I never had my browser (Chrome) configured to German, but in English. I realized that, in the list of languages, English was still higher than German BUT it was "English (United Kingdom)"; I put just the regular "English" higher than German and magic happened.
So, my guess is Autodesk doesn't have a translation file for "English (United Kingdom)" 🤷‍:male_sign:

Thanks for the suggestion. I've had the same problem, but instead of German, it was Portuguese for me.
German, I would have managed (Dutch is very similair), but Portuguese is another level
