Wrong Component is out of date

Hi Everyone,

The lastest version of the Fusion seems to introduce a bug, where a component shows up as out of date, but when "Get Latest" button is pressed it actually rolls the version of the part way back in time. Here is what the culprit looks like in the current version(v12):

In an assembly it shows up correctly, but it is said to be out of date:

So I press the "Get Latest" I get a very old "v3" version of the component:

What is more strange is that if I click "choose version" button the thumbnail for v12 appears to be correct:

I tried to click the "Clear User cache data", restarted, tried to switch to "Work Offline", nothing helps. I also tried to do some changing of parameters to cause the version number to bump up, but when I press Get Latest, it shows the new version number yet old actual geomerty from v3.

This causes me a great pain, since now I am forced to choose the previous version of the component, and have to live with the permanent "out of date" message in my assemblies. What is even more frustrating is that every time I make a change to a component and "Get Latest" in the assembly, I have to manually go over every wrongly versioned part and manually roll it back to the previous version to get the correct geometry.

Please please fix it soon. Thank you! 🙂

Hi @Anonymous,

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing the issue. Can I have the diagnostic log files and a public link to the assembly file so that we can investigate further? Does it make any differences if you delete the inserted part in the assembly file and then insert it again?

Hi,

Could you try the steps below as a workaround?

* Zip up your cloud cache folder on the machine you're seeing the problem. You'll find that folder in a place similar to this:
C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360\<cloud-cache-folder\W.login\F
The cloud-cache-folder will look something like this: EEZ9QQFUVTHM
* Delete the whole F folder
* Try to reproduce this problem by opening the same files and performing get latest

If the above steps don't work, please open the child component original file, do a compute all, save the design, open the master assembly, then do another get latest.

Please let me know if this helps!

Deleting the F folder and clicking Get Latest worked! I now have everything up to date correctly. Thank you!
