workflow off for sketch etc.

I open a .DXF  and then create component seeking to put all work under component. but the original image fades out and I cant see it to trace or sketch parts of it.

1> open file

2 create component

3 cant see original file

by importing the DXF first, it is not a member of the component you created.  Instead, created the component first, then use Insert DXF to add the DXF to that active component
