Workflow for creating a bent pipe in 3D

As an example of the workflow I'm trying to accomplish, consider this photo of a piece of PVC conduit. Notice that it has a 90 degree bend at one end, and a 135 degree bend at other. These two bends take it of a single 2D plane.

In Fusion, I have created one Sketch for the section of pipe containing the 135 degree bend. This is in the XY plane. It is a segmented line with a filleted corner. I've created a second sketch in the XZ plane for the short downwards section. This is a 2-point line. I then create 3D geometry using the Create | Pipe tool. Here's a screenshot showing the result.

But of course I don't want a sharp 90 degree. I want a filleted corner. Unfortunately I can't seem to find a way of filleting/rounding the path. I've tried creating a 3rd Sketch and projecting the lines from the first two Sketches ... but this won't fillet. And I've tried filleting the actual swept geometry ... which doesn't work. I've also tried enabling "3D Sketch" while in Sketch mode and trying to draw the entire line ... but have struggled with dimensioning and snapping the line that is out of the Sketch plane.

 

I'm sure there's an easy way to do this; I just can't seem to find it. As always, any help is much appreciated.

Fusion offers a myriad of ways- here's one, using only 1 Sketch.     3 am here, so not my finest production:

Why have you delete all the lines in the first sketch. That only ends up in an undefined sketch and that's an unstable design. Make them a construction line would be much cleaner and stable.

A quick follow-up question. Is it possible to dimension/constrain the out-of-plane part of the sketch? For example, I need that bend to be exactly 135 degrees. Unfortunately Fusion won't let me set this angle (like one can for the 90 degree bend).

Hello @darran

There was Mistake I made in previous Video By deleting that Line .

See the screencast , What I did . I made a plane At angle at 135 degree , And made a line on It , That is exact 135 degree . After Sketch the left part and joined the last point of that 135 degree line , So that line is perfect 135 degree and after give fillet .  In second attempt , I made a sketch on XY plane , give it a 135 degree , made it construction line , same made the bottom sketch and after joined the 135 degree point , thats the 3D sketch but it is accurate . It is been dimensioned . That's Right . Both ways are correct .

Awesome. That's what I was after. You draw the out of plane portion as a separate sketch first ... and then snap to the projected endpoint when drawing the full path. I haven't tried it but assume the final path updates properly when moving that first endpoint. My problem was that I was trying to the vertex where two separate curves/lines come together. That seemingly isn't possible. Thanks.
