Wishing for a NOTE type item allowed in the timeline

I wish there were a way to put notes in the timeline, a separate item that could be inserted anywhere in the timeline that simply consists of a note, of some text. I so often have a sequence of operations in the timeline and would LOVE to be able to precede it with a note (not just a single line of text like the "name" that can be given to any item in the timeline but a nice big text item) that EXPLAINS what I'm about to do, what the subsequent sequence of operations is accomplishing. Or a note explaining why I removed some object, or a note at the end of the day's work explaining what I accomplished and perhaps what I need to start doing the next day.

And while I"m fantasizing about this, maybe the note could even included embedded pictures or diagrams or, heck, some video, that helps me, or anyone else who might work on the design, to understand what's going on in the particular section of the timeline.

I work dutifully giving objects meaningful names in the timeline to help with all that. But an actual NOTE object would be so much better.

Hi,

I'm working on an add-in called Axalea Notes that lets one add notes to the model that show up in the timeline. It is made for Windows. I have just finished the core functionality and would like some feedback. Unfortunately, adding pictures or videos is currently not in the plan.

Would you be interested in trying the add-in out?

I'm eager to get feedback on the user experience. Placement of menus and contents of dialogs are in a very loose state at the moment. None of the icon graphics are created, so they reuse graphics from My Logo.
