Hello All,

I have long not understood why for the sketch text tool, there exists "align center" for horizontal position along a path, but there is no "align center" vertically (see video). This is such a simple feature that every program usually as, why is it not in Fusion ?

Hello @tranq006

Thank you for the query.

I want to make sure if I understand the question/request correctly. With Align vertical are you expecting text to be as follows?

Text on line.png

If yes then the way to achieve it is as follows.

  1. If text is a long a line, align the midpoint (green, that shows up on hover) of text box to the line
  2. If text is along a curve, offset the curve by Text Height/2 value and choose offset curve as the text path

Please let me know if this was helpful.

Thank you

Hello,

Yes I am after what you have on the top in the first image (text is along path, but centered vertically). There is no "text box" when text along curve is selected (see my video). The reason I don't like offsetting by letter height/2 is because I want to be able to change the font size and have it continue to automatically keep it centered.
