Why can't I thicken this part??

Im working with some sheet metal parts and im trying to thicken them to the correct thickness from a surface.  At first this part would only thicken in one direction, I found a little flap that I reworked so the surface is uniform and Smooth. Not it won't thicken at all.

Im trying to thicken it by .03" so not an issue of too tight geometry.  the other parts I was working with thickened no problem.  I need to thicken it to side without the wings on it. (the "flat side").

This model littered with edges that have horrendous curvature quality and near tangent conditions.  These are common culprits when you can't thicken a surface.

poor geometry is generally the case when converted from a mesh.

Hi,

I am not sure if this will fix your actual problem but it may be worth a shot.

What happens if you wind the timeline back to zero and change your sheet metal rules? When you wind the timeline back

it should recalculate everything with a different set of rules. A thickness changer "might" break the design but sheet

metal rules are fairly liberal because of the way the material bends.
