Hello Fusion forum,

In the latest version of Fusion Create Component
seems to have disappeared.

How to create a Component in

Fusion 2606.1.22 x86_64

Peace.

Hello CADWhisperer and the Fusion forum,

The latest version of Fusion is very different than the previous version.
Previously one could copy a Component in one design and paste into
a subsequent design. Now when the Component in Design Alpha
is copied and Design Bravo is selected there is no Paste New.

How does one get a Component from design to another design?

Thanks.

Peace.

@pittsallen

Show screen capture of which mode you are in - Part Design, Assembly Design or Hybrid Design.

1. Paste New  is only available in hybrid mode.

2. change Settings to Hybrid

Here in your Preferences.  Once set, you next created file will be Hybrid Assembly.  This setting will not allow you to take advantage of the new Features of Intent Driven Design, it will created models using the previous Fusion processes.

This is the dumbest / most frustrating / least value change you could have come up with.

Wow. I have been so confused for the past few days. Thanks to this thread for 1) showing how to change from Part to Hybrid on the current design and 2) showing how to set the mode for future designs.
