They could not possibly have been made any larger 😉

Nice thing is now you can add them to the S-key menu.

I have no sketch section in toolbar at all. I open old design, select sketch, edit and I can move things, draw primitives but not add any constrain. In new design I add sketch and no new toolbar appears. And even button "finish sketch" on right end is missing in toolbar. The only way to go out is button on sketch palette. I received latest update now and it is the same. Generally I can not draw anything with it now.

@jaroslav.horak  Have you tried right click on a button and Reset All Toolbar Customisation?

I have same issue as Jaroslav. Any reset didn't help. It happened after the latest update. Any suggestion how to have it back?

Thanks

@Phil.E  Can you help with this? There are a couple other threads about this problem as well. @Mowee  Seems to have reset his tabs in this thread but didn't say how.

Thanks Mark

Edit. another thread with the same problem

It is a bit strange, at least to me, that we have a solid, sheet metal, and else as tool tabs, but not sketch. I found that sketch tab is shown up with all its icons only when you click create sketch icon from solid tab. It looks like the sketch is part of the solid. Why is that?

The original post here was about confusion over the new UI. It has nothing to do with this current problem.

The problem is known and we're working on the fix. It doesn't help that it's not clear how to fix it on your end. To my best knowledge these things have worked (for some) and also not worked according to some reports. It's not universal for all customers, most don't see this issue at all.

Try each of these steps starting at the top, PLEASE let us know which worked for you.

  1. Restarting Fusion.
  2. Renaming the webdeploy folder in AppData/Local/Autodesk and then using the installer (this overwrites the problem)
    1. https://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/free-trial?_ga=2.193246445.1710057716.1569683871-208796...
  3. Clean uninstall/reinstall.
    1. Automatic (https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How...)
    2. Manual (https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How...)

Sorry for the inconvenience we're working on this as a top priority.

-Phil

Because support thought it made more sense for new users, create a sketch then sketch tab appears. That's OK but from the first week of the preview I asked for an option in preferences to show the sketch tab at all times for experienced users. Unfortunately they're not interested in that, modern world, cater for the lowest common denominator!

Phil, maybe I missed the message how to fix it. But for now is working as I described. So here is again, if the first time was not clear.

So, I reset it as suggested, and nothing happened. At least haven't noticed the change. Later on, when I select icon for Create Sketch under the Solid tool tab, I get to chose a plane. After selecting a plane I got Sketch tool tab and sketch icons.

I have tried to reset tools and whatever. But i found the way without reading the replies. I have switched to Deutsch and back to English. And in German it was already there. I do not know why I tired it. I just had such idea about 10 minutes after writing the post. I tried to draw something and went sleep without leaving computer 🙂 So that is why I am writing it a day after.

Sorry to replaying to wrong topic. I did not find any other than this regarding sketch constrains. Maybe I did not use word "tab". I just looked for constrains missing...

Anyway new UI is little bit strange to me. Every thing has floating window. If you make pull or chamfer it has window with parameters. Sketch has also such window and it contained things that can be tune in the sketch = constrains. Now it is in the toolbar between other things that are on completely different level on the level like sketch itself. I do not know if you understand me. Simple word it seems to me it does not fit there. I did not used it too much so It might be more comfortable using it than floating window. But I bet it is not space saving because I had float box with constrains usually on second monitor (or third one?... I do not know which one is which) and it did not occupied any space. But I am using this product very little, like 2 3 hours a week or month and sometimes even less so my vote has very small weight.

This isn't an isolated incident in that my toolbar was gone as well. We know how to use the program well enough that we know where it should be and that it is missing. The unconstructive snarky reply wasn't necessary. Mine was corrected by resetting the toolbar customization and then restarting Fusion 360.

Hi, this also occurred to me yesterday for what seems like no reason. I can click "sketch" or edit an existing sketch and the "SKETCH PALETTE" will open but the sketch toolbar does not appear. In a few other forums someone pointed out right-clicking the toolbar and clicking "reset all toolbar customization". After doing this, I still had to restart Fusion 360 but then it came back. Hope this actually helps.

The OP did NOT have the issue you described and marked my reply as the solution. 4 Weeks ago!

I found a workaround without reinstalling (although that did not work for me)

Select a plane.

From "solid" click create sketch icon.

Then on the sketch plane, right click.

Then under sketch dropdown, click line.

Draw a line.

Sketch tab now shows up for me.

It does not persist in new design, but at least it is there for a now, while they work on the fix

But it is still an issue related to missing sketch palette.

Quite frankly, I am glad people replied to this 4 week old previously answered thread,

otherwise I would't have found out that it is a currently known existing problem.

Last I heard from autodesk in another thread was, don't worry about Model workspace

missing, it is all in another space. Alas, it is not.

Maybe if he had mentioned this known issue, I would not have been tail chasing for so long.

Thankfully other people found and re-ignited this thread.

@phughesC5B6Y  I'm going to move all the latest posts that have to do with a very recent very bad bug out of this thread.

The original thread was posted by someone confused about the new UI. Nothing to do with the issue that most people are commenting on here today. The new UI only put the sketch constraint icons in a new place, it is not a bug. It is what @TrippyLighting responded to weeks ago with his image at the top. Not a bug.

ahoy there Phil!  encountered this exact problem.  Pleased to report that 2 restarts seems to have resolved the missing pallet tools.

The strange thing about this issue is it seems to come and go. I'd like to confirm that.

@michael.k.jansen  Were you recently using the latest update for Fusion, and also seeing the sketch tools, and then at some point they turn up missing? We've been assuming the bug was happening at installation time, but I'm starting to doubt that now.

Anyone else, please comment if you "fixed" it, and then the problem returned after some time.

Thanks!
