When creating a plane for sketching, what determines the initial size and location of the plane and its origin?

The first time I used the command to create a "Plane at an Angle" I was given a small plane when I placed it on the Z axis. I learned how to extend the size of this new plane, but what controls the initial size of this plane when it is created? And what controls the position of the origin of this plane? The axis I used when I create this plane was the Z axis and the origin was created 12.125mm above the origin of the XY plane.

I don't think there is any way to control the size before placement - so simply adjust after placement.

(Understanding that it actually goes to infinity (or at least to the limits of modeling bounding box which I think is 100,000cm), the glyph is just a visual representation of the plane.)

The Origin location on that plane could be the result of different variables, for example, if Along Path - it is going to be at the pierce point of the path and plane, with the plane normal to the path at that point.

for "plane at an angle", the initial visual size, and the origin of any sketches placed on it, will be determined but the line length (for size), and the midpoint of the line (for sketch origin).

I use plane at an angle a lot because of the ability to control the origin consistently.

when placed on an origin axis, fusion arbitrary uses a length of (I think) 24.25 mm for no particular reason other than they have to use something.  the line starts at the origin and extends in the positive direction of the axis.  puts sketch origins 12.125 off the model origin.

when I need a plane at an angle on an origin axis I draw my own construction line and constrain the midpoint to the model origin.
