What is the best setup for a design with different options

A newbie here 🙂

I'm working on a design for a chair that has different types of legs and different types of seating.

The customer can choose their own combination from the available options.

What is the best workflow for creating the designs, the different assemblies and the different drawings?

For example:

Lets say I have the legs in four options: L1 - L2 - L3 - L4, and the seating in 3 options: S1 - S2 - S3

Do i create for every type of leg and seating a separate fusion file? Or do I put everything in one file?

If I separate everything in their own file, how do I keep the everything parametric when for example the seating height changes?

Any help appreciated!

Fusion has so many diverse capabilities.  Configurations is not one of them.

There is more to it than seat and leg types.

If it were me, I would have one of each leg and seat as a file.

Make a Customer Assembly, Insert Derive the Leg and Seat.

How that would transfer to the Drawing Environment, is a mystery to me, I have no experience in that area, none.

As for presentation, I would make a chair with one of each leg, and the three seats,

use eyeballs to show hide.

So many options.... none easy.
