in Fusion 360 in "inspect => Measure => if I click on what I call a 'face' it gives me an area (that I can manually calculate and it "looks realistic" but it also offers me something called "Loop Length" - what is that?

The "Loop length" is the face outer contour length.

THANK YOU (VERY MUCH) _ this 'seemed' to be the case, but manual calculations are a 'bit-off' (not surprise, it's early in the morning, here)- thank you FOR YOUR INPUT! - Bill

so, if I understand the solution correctly, for a circle profile, the loop length for a sector of the circle would be the arc length, the outer most contour of that sector of the profile

Is that another way to say "circumference"?

Probably the best term to use is "perimeter" as the shape may not be circular in shape.

The measure command under inspection menu lists two types of loop lenghts when I tyr to measure the distance between two construction planes. What are these loop lenghts?
