What are the best practices and file types for transferring files from Fusion 360 to Autodesk Inventor

Hello everyone, I would like to ask  a Autodesk team member or someone in the know about the best practices and file types for transferring files from Fusion 360 to Autodesk Inventor. I have been working on some designs in Fusion 360 and would like to seamlessly integrate them into Autodesk Inventor. However, I'm uncertain about the most effective way to accomplish this.

In order for me to proceed with the file transfer, I would appreciate your guidance on the recommended file types to use. Would it be advisable to save and send the Fusion 360 files in STEP, STL, OBJ, DXF or other format? I would like to ensure that the entire file is imported and not just specific parts or components.

By understanding the ideal file format and import process, I can optimize my workflow and enhance the integration of my designs into Autodesk Inventor as I need to use the EMS extension for my designs.

After conducting some research, I came across a potential solution that involves utilizing the Fusion 360 web view. The process is as follows:

  1. Access the Fusion 360 web view.
  2. Once you have located the desired folder, click on the download/export icon.
  3. From the options provided, select "Inventor 2021" as the format.
  4. The system will then guide you through saving the file in .IPT format.
  5. Autodesk file active for 7 days after compile file .IPT is sent to your email address.
  6. After the specified waiting period, you should receive an email containing the .IPT file as an attachment.
  7. Proceed to download the .IPT file from the email.
  8. Finally, you should be able to open the downloaded .IPT file using Autodesk Inventor.

I'm just wanting to confirm if my understanding of this process is correct.
