Weird problem trying to create an arc... ?

I cannot understand if I am doing something wrong but I get this problem regularly. I want to pick the end of the node and then create a 3 point arc, but when I select the tool it seems to want to start anywhere on the desktop other than where I want. I does not follow the cursor but seems to hit an invisible barrier. Any ideas?

I see this every now and then, especially when I am trying to move the first pick point to the far left side of the graphic window.  I am guessing it is because I am moving outside the developed sketch grid, on that side even though I do not use or show a grid, it is still calculated.  Video will show my solution as I have no official fix.

I have seen this too, but it has been a bit of a challenge to reproduce reliably.  I believe that the reason is the browser.  The cursor roughly stops at the edge of the browser (sometimes it goes one step beyond, but in general, you can see, in your video, that it is that edge of the browser that is key).  You can test this by hiding the browser, or even just adjusting the width of it.

From an inside view, the problem is that we draw the browser as transparent, so that (most of the time...) you can have geometry underneath it.  This transparent browser has been the source of more than one issue, though...
