Weird dented edge after body split

I'm having weird edges appear (and render) after a body split:

Any idea why this would happen ?

This is just a weird display artifact.  Set the body display detail to fixed.  Even "low" seems to fix it.

Thanks so much ! This is very interesting. I didn't know about this option. I changed it and rendered an image, all seems good now !
