Weird behavior when changing parameter

Hi All,
I'm having a weird behavior when changing a parameter. I'm building a Willys MB Jeep and want to scale it with the use of one parameter I called SF(Scale Factor). The default value is 1. Every dimension I put in sketches is multiplied by sf.
Up until now I was able to change the value of the SF from 1 to any value with success.
I added a spring. I can scale up without issue but down fails.
While troubleshooting, I started to try a few things. If I scale for instance from 1 to 0.97, the spring splits and becomes convex. If instead I change gradually, by 1% it works. For instance changing from 1 to 0.99 to 0.98. to 0.97 to 0.96 all is fine, when I skip to 0.94 it fails again.
I'm able to scale down by an increment of .01 until I reach 0.71 where it fails every time
Here's a video of the behavior.
Can anyone point me in the proper direction, I have been wasting time on this for 4 days now. Thanks
