Warning "Rigid91 2 References Failures" "The model is using cached geometry to solve. ... "

I am inserting another project in to an assembly project. There are many parts. But when I insert one part all parts attached to that part by a joint gets the warning message above.

How do I fix this?

Can you share the design? My best guess is that there is an error/warning in the timeline of one of the designs. Look for red/yellow highlighted features in the timeline. If you perform a Model > Modify > Compute All, it may reveal some of the errors in the timeline as well. I would recommend doing this in the design you are insert to, and the design you are inserting (X-reference).

To resolve the errors, right click on the features and select Edit. You may need to reselect the source geometry or change the parameters of the joint features. It might also be easier to delete and recreate the feature.

I hope this helps.

Hi,

How do we "reselect the source geometry"? I created parametric design where each step depends on previous but I did combine shapes and joined them into one (that happened because default option was join instead of "new object", which I think is a bad idea as once joined object can make you trouble and non joined one can always be joined later). So now when I went back in timeline and deleted join operation since next sketch started from point which was on joined object I got that source project vertex is missing and current one is used from cache.

Point is that vertex is there it is just now part of another object but at the exact same location. How can I tell F360 to use Vertex from that new object instead of old one from joined object?

I started "unjoining" everything because I didn't find easy way to show parts which are overlapped by other parts on Drawing view if object is joined into one. This way I can hide objects which are in front.

Thanks in advance

I have the same problem, with "the model is using cached geometry to solve"

i had no problem with this until now ... with 1 component, and it has a flat surface ( i mean it should not have a problem)

Hi,

There is at least one cause for each error message.
Upload* the file to analyze it.
