want to scale component using dimension tool by having only one dimension not use percentage

New to fusion 360, thank you for the help.
I have a component made from a svg file and I what to take that drawing as it is and scale it with one dimension length ,say 4.5 inches to .75 inches. But I do not want to have to figure out a percentage. I just want to measure the object with a line type tool and the change the shown length of the measure to .75 inches and have the whole thing scale down accordingly. I am starting with a "component" at the top tier of browser... then using photoshop to bringing in hand drawn svg file from Tiffs scanned than to PNG then go to a website for free svg converter from png then back to fusion insert SVG in Fusion 360. I want to them scale the whole thing as mentioned above without using a percentage that is in the modify tabs under scale. It seems you should be able to do it like the dimension tool. But this is not a sketch. it is a 3D component.

I enter the last file.   So there is now a second question. ( thank you) I loaded the EGG Component next and every thing we worked on worked imported the SVG/scaled it with percentage/ took of the constraints/ moved it to realign with the EGG origin.  ALL Good! ..... Then I try to copy it with the move tool and checking the copy button and I get this message. ???

I am copying the EGG to make is like a sandwich where the is 19.558 distance between EGG and EGG copy. I am not sure why it will not do that.   So there are 2 questions   ( thank you)

Hi @patrick_william

Thanks for the file. I'm not able to reproduce the error that you're seeing. What I did was right-click on the Egg:1 component in the Browser and click/Move Copy from the menu. Then I used the manipulators to move the new component in place. This created a second instance of the egg "Egg:2".

You can also try:

  1. To Copy and Paste the component in the Browser by right-clicking.
  2. If the components will be a specific distance from each other you could use the Rectangular Pattern tool found on the Create panel. Here is a link to more information about the Rectangular Pattern tool.

Hope this helps.
