Vector files (SVG, DXF,DWG) imported/ inserted into fusion have open loops

Having trouble trying to get a file from Adobe illustrator into Fusion 360, I've tried importing svg's, and saving dxfs and dwgs into fusion and opening them that way, but on all occasions parts of the file which were closed loops in illustrator are now open and I cant extrude them.

Ive attatched the SVG.

Thanks in advance,

Charlie

Hi Charlie,

Thanks for forwarding this issue, and sorry for the trouble you're having. It looks like some of the curves aren't being fully translated - I'll ask our development team to look into this.

One thing that may be contributing to this is the density of the shapes; particularly the pattern, where some of the pattern instances are made up of >50 curve segments each:

Even if the profiles were being recognised, modelling with these curves would result in dense (and possibly problematic) geometry. Do you have any way of simplifying the original illustration? (These shapes could probably be simpler described as 4 arcs - effectively a circle with 2 arc segments subtracted.) If so, that would certainly increase the likelihood of clean translation.

Thanks,

Jake

I simplified the pattern and it worked, thank you.
(that will be why my laptop almost melted when I was importing it in the first place too)
