Variable Thickness Control on Shell command

Hi there!

I'm having an issue, probably someone can help me.

I want to build a plastic enclosure to real detail. The enclosure will be thermoformed, so thickness will decrease through the lateral walls (Z axis in my case).

Is it possible with Shell operation or other command, to make the shell thickness decrease in certain direction (example: Z axis)
My model should decrease 1mm on thickness every 40mm on that direction.

As i show on the image, i only get a shell with constant thickness.

Thank you for your time!

Shell is not the right command for that,

will depend on the actual model,

try draft for the walls,

or Loft with a cut for the cavity,

or you can make two solid bodies, to the finished shapes and

combine cut the inside body away from the outside body.

Might help....

OH well..

Yes i finally did as you said..

Maybe it is a useful feature to include in the future for all the people that do thermoforming to build new products.

Thank you anyway!
