Hey Fellas.

Been while!

I have a question for you guys. I am trying to figure out how to work with UV wrap within Fusion 360. I noted that some texture can easily wrap to the surface, using Texture Map Control.  however, it doesnt mean that the UV is conform to.
However, I came across such thing Texture Map Control Advanced options, meaning those lines RED (R) and GREEN (G).

Before I assume anything, I reckon its the coordination points (X Y) however, what is the principles of this how do I control such thing, what is the objective of this tool, can anyone explain to me?  I SAID PLEASE! 🙂

Again, it decrease the size of the R and G lines and so it gets closed to be aligned, does it means that my UVs are almost good I reckon... Any expert suggestion, tutorials, love letters, whatever helps is welcome!!!

So far the preliminary result is here

I still biting my own neck on this matter!

Cheers

There is no UV unwrapping functionality in Fusion 360 that would be comparable to the functionality in Sub-D mesh modeling software, The screenshot you posted is all we've got.

Ahh... OK.

The UV diagnostic tools help visualizing how the texture is going to be mapped onto the object.

If you change the projection type you'll see these diagnostic texture change to reflect the different projection type.

That might help to re-orient these better.

Some of these projection types require you to select an axis or a plane and if you are not happy with the origin axis you can create your own, or select an existing edge of the object, or create a sketch with a line to be used as an axis.
