Using one Body to cut another with "Split Body" Function not working

Hi! I am trying to use a body I created to create a hole in a different body by using the "Split Body" function while the first body is inside of the second. I have used this method to create holes before, but for some reason each time I do it now, I get an error that says "compute failed" every time. I have attached an image of what I am trying to do.

Please let me know if you have any ideas for how to fix this! It gives the same error when I try to split the bodies using either of the two rods shown in the image I attached.

Thanks!

Looks like your images didn't attach. Posting your .f3d will help to see what is going on. It sounds like you may be using the wrong command. If you have two bodies and want to make a hole with one, use "Combine" then a"Cut" operation.

You can use the Combine command to get similar results, was this what you were using before?  The Split Body command will normally work, as you described it, but you get some odd new bodies.  Please attach your model where you are experiencing your issue and many a descriptive screen capture to show your intent.  There was no image attached to your first post even though you said that you attached it.

Thank you very much! The "combine" and then "cut" worked perfectly, that was all I needed.

The combine function and then setting it to "cut" worked great. Thank you very much for your help! I am still learning.
