User Parameter Issue

I have several components that share user parameters and I want to link those parameters together by having one equal the other. I have done this in the past without any issues. Now when I try it they change the expression to its name and wont let me undo it. See the screencast for clarification. I also attached my file for anyone to test it out. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

Hi @Anonymous,

Thank you for posting! I am currently working on this but I haven't been able to find out why it's behaving that way. I'm guessing it's a bug. I'll investigate it further and circle back here once I have more information to share!

Thanks for looking into this. if it helps what I did was create a sub assembly of the base. So I had parts with components and put them into the same file. Broke the link and then I made some of the parameters equal to each other. Then I put this sub assembly into another file and broke the link. then I added the two table tops and broke the link. Then I created some master parameters that I would use to control the size of the table and have the base change with it. When I tried to make parameters equal to each other in this file is when I ran into issues. I'm not that great at explaining things so if you need more clarification let me know.
