Use parametricly defined angles in flange tool

I am currently creating a sheet metal part that requires a flange that can adjust the angle on the fly, as parameters are changed.  I have created a parameter to do this calculation, but when i try to apply it within the flange tool, I can choose the parameter but it is always red and won't actually accept it as a valid input. (even though the parameter list pops up while typing the name)

Is this something that can't be done? or is there a trick/certain requirements to make it a valid input?

Thanks,

David.

This particular parameter is getting applied to the third flange tool.

Hi,

This is because a driven dimension (cover angle) of a sketch is used to calculate the angle.
Driven dimensions can only be used for calculations within the same sketch.

Thank you! A Quick test confirms this. I will need to calculate this in a more mathematical fashion.

You just have to make sure that the Cover Angle is not a driven dimension but a driving one.
