uploading/importing photos/SVG files

I have tried to import, drag and drop, copy paste, Translated Jpeg to SVG, prayed, and still program tells me fusion 360 can t accept due to not reconized geometric shapes or something at best most times it says nothing.

Welcome to the Fusion 360 Community!

 

Just to check - what is your end goal with the image/SVG file. I do note that a jpeg differs a lot from an SVG file in that a JPEG is a raster image and a SVG file is vector graphics. Therefore, an SVG will have lines, splines, etc associated with it, whereas a JPEG will literally just be an image file that you can trace over. If you have an image that you want to trace over, try going to the insert menu and selecting Attached Canvas. Then, you can calibrate the image to be the correct size and can start tracing. If it is true vector graphics, then upon inserting the SVG file, it should insert it as a sketch with sketch elements associated.

Also note if you convert a JPG to an SVG the SVG could still just contain an image and no vector information, this type of SVG will not insert into Fusion.
