Upload in progress....

Quick question: Where is there an indicator showing the upload progress of the current file before I am able to exit out of Fusion? I tried "X"ing out, but it tells me an upload is in progress, which is fine, since I was working on some CAM, but I've no idea how long before I can log off. Is this something I need to turn on?

Win7, F360 Ultimate

Thanks,

Seth

I think if you open up the project drawer there will be a spinning circle over your upload. It's pretty weird. I think there should be a "close when finished" button when you save and quit.

Hi Seth,

You can check the upload progress by clicking the highligted button at the bottom.

When uploading, sometimes errors or time-outs occur due to file size, file integrity, or connection issues.

If you exit Fusion 360 while uploads are in progress, the uploads will be kept in upload pipeline.

You do not have to worry about losing your data. The uploads will resume the next time you log in Fusion 360.

If some files keep being stalled, you may consider clearing the upload progress by following the below technical article:

How to manually clear the upload dialog in Autodesk Fusion 360

Thank you for the response. While I understand that file upload will resume once I restart F360, it is important to me that it complete it's upload before I shut off the computer. I often program and design at home in the evenings and resume on my work computer during my lunch or coffee break. I need to make sure data is there.

Perhaps adding a user preference to minimize to system tray while uploads are in progress and then shut down?

The article referenced is no longer correct (on OS X El Capitan, with Fusion update of late July 2016)

The location of the files to be deleted "jobs.json" and "jobs.json.lck" mentioned in the solution are not where the article suggests.

The files are instead found as follows:

/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/Autodesk Fusion 360/<some hex string, e.g. "MY5PM63UPATM" or similar>/P.login/

Deleting them still does clear the stuck file upload lists
