Updating Fusion 360 to latest version

Hi

I'm having an issue updating fusion from v1.8.568 to the latest v1.8.601.

If I use the 'check for new version' menuitem, it says I have the latest version (which plainly, I don't).

Checking the 'about fusion 360' shows it as still being v1.8.568.

I'd deperately like to try the new version as it looks like my coil issue has been fixed.

This is on iMac with 10.8.4

Perhaps I missed a post somewhere, but I don't see one ?

Cheers

Neil

You should see a notification that the app is downloading an update. Then a second notification that the update is complete and that you need to relaunch the app. On relaunch you will have the new version.

Hi Kevin

Thank you for the replies.

As I said, iMac running Mountain Lion v10.8.4 12Gb

Tried again today - same result, says I have the latest version - no notification indicating any updates when checking, just the messge saying I'm up to date.

I've attached a couple of screendumps FWIW.

Any alternative update method ?

Cheers

It suddenly occurred to me that the 'check for new version' menuitem perhaps doesn't refer to the 'fusion360' application version, but to the version of the current object  ?

If that is the case, how then is the fusion application updated ?

And again, if that is the case, perhaps changing the menuitem to something that is less ambiguous might be helpful to do(ugh)nuts like me Smiley Happy

Start Fusion 360. Goto the notification center in Mnt Lion. Icon in upper right in menu bar.

You should see a notification for Fusion 360 that it is updating.

After the updating completes another notification should appear and if you click it, Fusion 360 will relaunch with the new version.

Hi Kevin

There _is_ a notification regarding Fusion 360 stating that it was downloading an update at 19:46 yesterday. At 19:47 there is also a notification saying that the s/w has been updated and that the app should be shutdown and restarted. However, there was never an OS banner indicating that information (I have banners set to show).

Since the app has been restarted since then, it should now be showing the latest version and it isn't - it's still stuck at the old version.

Clicking the notification restarts fusion 360 of course, but the version is still old.

Is there a method to repeat the upgrade process?

Cheers

Hi Again

Rather than wait, I trashed the webdeploy folder in the Autodesk folder and reinstalled with a fresh client downloader.

That installed perfectly and it's now on the latest version.
