Hi @LMD001,
Sorry to hear that! Do you mind attaching the log file so I can take a peek at the specific error (or email it to me at james.youmatz@autodesk.com). I have a feeling a clean uninstall/reinstall will make the update work (since you've had Fusion set up for a while now), but I'd still like to check the log just to make sure. This guide here can help you find the log file.
Thanks,
I am also receiving this error, and am waiting for an answer. I would be happy to supply the full error log if it helps.
Hi @Anonymous,
Feel free to send that log my way as well! I can take a peek at both.
Also, happy Answer Day everyone!
Thanks,
Here is my log file:
Hi all,
Thanks for sharing! Let's hold off on the clean uninstall for a moment. I want to investigate this a bit further - found a different error than I was expecting. Will report back shortly!
Thanks,
@Anonymous thanks for the heads-up about the blog, we are investigating and will have it back up ASAP.
I have the same error on one of my PCs at work. Don't know what Update the error's about as there's not been one for a few weeks and it was alright yesterday.

@HughesTooling - just to confirm, the machine you're seeing this error on, was it already up to date with the latest F360?

@brianrepp Yes, the message doesn't show for the first minute or so after running Fusion, seems to pop up just after the current project's loaded in the data panel.

Hi gang,
As @HughesTooling mentioned - there hasn't been a recent update lately so this shouldn't affect anyone's workflow unless they haven't updated for a while (most likely two weeks ago roughly). The warning (although we are still investigating) most likely stems from when Fusion checks for an update during launching. I know my version (which is up to date on Windows) is 2.0.2455 and I am receiving the warning as well. If anyone wants to verify, you can go to the Help menu and then select About and it should display your version number.
Please let me know if anyone is experiencing different issues or might be on an older version and needs to update. I would be glad to dig into those deeper!
Also, huge thanks to everyone that is posting and reporting this here! I will post back once I have more information.
Thanks,
Thought I seen this problem before.

Hi all,
I just tested this on my computer, but everything seems to be working okay now with a restart of Fusion 360. Looks like the error message has gone away. Can anyone who was experiencing this issue confirm as well?
Thanks!
Seems to be working correctly now, I had tried restarting several time before.
Thanks Mark

Hi All,
My version is 2.0.2449 and having an update error. You can reach the log file through the link https://mega.nz/#!XMhhAbjQ!n06DZ7431jqZh7DTrDKtHee7WYi33QXhl-3L5v9TpUQ
Hi @Anonymous,
Welcome to the Fusion 360 Community and Answer Day!
Just took a peek at your log file and this seems different than what we were seeing this morning. It seems that your computer was having a network issue as well as a permissions issue. From your log files I see:
PermissionError: [Errno 13] Permission denied
adsk.dls.streamer.exceptions.PermissionDeniedException: Permission denied: File C:\Users\***\big5freq.py is in use.
I think there are a few things we can do here. First, only try these next steps if your files are backed up to the cloud as you will lose any locally cached data. Also, is this a work/school computer or are you on a restricted network by any chance? My suggestion would be to try a clean uninstall and then reinstall. I see a lot of files locked and unable to be cleaned up, so I'm hoping this bypasses some of that. Please follow this guide here on uninstalling Fusion 360. Once uninstalled, please restart your computer and then download the free trial here. Even though it says free trial, it fully installs Fusion and will pull your entitlement when you go to sign in after installing.
Have you had issues installing or updating before? Also, I would make sure you have administrator privileges on your computer before reinstalling. Let me know if that worked!
Thanks,
