Hi,
Recently I got this error quite often. Usually happens when I change back and forth between offline / online modes or the network connection is not good.
Some linked components randomly lost. My workaround was to delete the errored components and and them back again. But ... it is pretty annoying. I found someone mentioned they have the same problem.
So would it possible to know why ? And how to fix it?
Thx!
Hi @ahsan
Sure! I just send you an email. Can I send the whole package of diagnostic .zip file to you? Via email?
Best,

Hi Ahsan,
Unresolved component appears again in one of my other design. This time network conditions are good.
This time I just updated Fusion360 according to the update notification and restarted.
Then I saw some references are missed in my other design. Sigh...
I'll send the diagnositc file .
Thx!
XJ
Hi Ahsan,
I noticed the unresolved component will show in the design's children list, like so:
but it will not be openned if I click the link, error message shows like:
Hope it helps.

Hi there,
We've identified a potential problem when downloading files with Chinese characters. Now, certainly it doesn't happen with all files with Chinese characters. Only with some specific ones. However, we're yet to narrow down on what causes this. If you notice this issue always with a specific set of files, please do let us know. We're going to investigate a fix in a forthcoming release.
Sorry about the trouble and thanks for your patience.
Ahsan
Hey Ahsan,
I've also run into this issue, although I don't have any special characters in my file names. I ran into the issue yesterday when the update was being made and I had to go offline.
I've attached the diagnostics, I hope that they help you in finding a solution.
In the mean-time, I've promoted the previous version and the references are not broken in it. I'll have to just redo a bit of the work but thankfully not much.
Thank you!
Ibrahim
Hey Ahsan,
Yeah the file is ichi-refreshALPHA5. Version 18 is fine, while v19 has the corrupt references.
Thanks,
Ibrahim
Hi Ahsan,
Thanks for the reply!
I personally incline to give user a warning about the potential risks.
The newest update claimed a fix for the unresolved component problem. Let's see if
it is fixed. But I learnt from forum, that one should keep components a linked one only
if it is really necessary. Otherwise just break the link. So I'm keeping this as a principle for
assembly.

Code has now been added in Fusion to detect these situations (where we have unresolved components) and warn the user when (s)he tries to save/save-as/export the file. The user will then have the choice to cancel out of the save. Thanks for the inputs.
im having the same problem but in all english, suddenly 80% of my work is unresolved and if i do anything weeks of work will be lost. why is this happening?

Hi @7sixtwo,
Can you please send me your diagnostic log files? They will help understand the problem better. Refer to this article: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How...
Thx
