as you can see, volume is in scientific notation.i want each and every parameter in metric form, how to do that.

i tried to change parameter in preferences menu but it didn't helped.and want density in g/cm3 or kg/m3.

everything in mks unit system.

thankyou.

Thanks for posting!

 

I think that you may have stumbled across a bug regarding the Unit and Value Display preferences. I believe that those preferences should change the displaying of units and values of the Properties dialog box, and so I have logged the issue with our development team as FUS-28177.

 

Unfortunately the only way I can think of off of the top of my head would be to convert the units and scientific notation either by hand or through the use of a unit conversion calculator on the web.

 

I expect that this is something that will be fixed fairly quickly as it can cause some serious confusion! I hope this helps!

I'd asked the same question couple weeks ago with the following reply, good news is they are presently working on a solution.

 

"I just tested this on my machine as well and had the same results as you. I checked in with some members of the team that work on the material editor and it turns out this is a known limitation at this time with the material editor. Luckily, they informed me that they are actively working on improving it and revamping it currently!
