Unexpected Expired License Notification

Hey everyone,

The most recent fix didn’t go the way we wanted. Apparently a lot more of you are seeing an Expired button in your toolbar, even though you were not expecting your subscriptions to be expiring anytime soon. We apologize for the confusion this has caused.

If you are not expecting your subscription to be expiring and are seeing the Expired button, you can continue working on Fusion 360 without taking any additional action. We have pinpointed what we need to fix and we’re on it.

We pushed a small update today – apparently there was an issue where Fusion 360 wasn’t showing you that your license has expired, even though it was actually expired, so we just went ahead and “fixed the glitch”. With that said, this doesn’t block you from using Fusion 360, but you’ll need to re-subscribe or renew a license to save your work. Click on the “Buy Now” button and that should get you back on track. If you’re having trouble with this, get with our support team or post in our support forum and we’ll help you get sorted.

Hey @jodom4,
Is it possible to check when my subscription will expire?
I'm stuck with a Student license and I need to change it to Startup!

Cheers /Ben.

Hi @Beyondforce ,

The issue @jodom4 mentions is fixed as of our latest hot fix. I'm curious how you ended up with an EDU license though... Did you sign up for ANY Autodesk product as a student recently?

I will work on getting the EDU tag removed for you, but it will remove all access to any Autodesk product that you are registered to as EDU.

Let me know if this is okay to do so before proceeding.

Thanks,

Hey @James.Youmatz,

It happened some time ago (more than a year ago), I install Fusion and for some reason, it asked me to choose a license. Instead of choosing Startup I click on Student - It was my mistake.

I have reported this issue before and the only solution was to cancel my account and to open a new account. The problem with this solution is that I'll lose all my data!
That's why I asked not to do anything and I'm waiting for the license to expire - but it didn't happen yet 😉

The only software I care about is Fusion 360. If you can fix it without losing my data, then go ahead.

Cheers / Ben.

Hi @Beyondforce ,

Can you try restarting Fusion and see if it says it now 🙂 It may pop up as Expired, which means you will have to follow the steps to renew your hobbyist license.

Let me know if you need help.

Thanks,

@James.Youmatz,
I don't know how to thank you!
5 min. and you fixed it - Now it says "Startup License" as it should.

Thanks a lot James 😄

Cheers / Ben.

@James.Youmatz I am still getting this message after the recent update. I have confirmed with support that I have an active Fusion 360 subscription via my FeatureCAM subscription.
After the recent bugfix it went away on my Fusion Team side but not on my personal fusion account side. As far as I understand the subscription status should be the same regardless of if I am on the personal or team side since I use the same login and just toggle it in-program.

Luckily I use Fusion team for my company so I *should* be OK for now.

Hi @nick_p3dcreations ,

I checked into your account and it didnt look like in your user management tab you assigned the FeatureCAM seat (and the Fusion services) to any users. I just did this, so let me know if you now have access. If you don't can you provide the diagnostic log files from the Help menu in Fusion 360.

Thanks,
