Is there an easy way to make produce an under-cut, on an edge of a cylindrical part? With options?

Are you having problems with modeling it, or is ths releated to the CAM workspace ?

What options are you looking for ?

There are no options in the lathe ops to do that, you will have to model the part with the undercut. Just draw a profile like this then revolve.

Thanks for getting back to me. In the past with other CAD and CAM packages, there has been an option to create standard forms. Like under-cuts etc, using a norm (DIN or ISO). Its a fairly standard thing, when you need to create a machining drawing, that needs further processing, such as grinding afterwards. Modeling is no problem, but is extra time.

I know how to do it manually, but an edge preparation function for many standard forms would be a nice feature.

I will suggest it as a possible future upgrade.
