I want the text to extruded about 2 mm cutting the face inside, Tangentially.

I got to know that, it is possible by using the split face feature, when I tried that its not letting me to select the text.

Can anyone help me with this?

Hi @Ajay_Kumar_Reddy.

You can try this way:

1. In Sketch Edit mode, right-click your text and select Explode Text. Now you will able to select the geometry that compose the letters as a tool.

2. Proceed with your Split Face.

After Explode Text:

Exploding the text is the right first step.  Since the target face is a cylinder, you'll notice that in the split Face command the splitting tool will extend to both sides of the cylinder.  If you only want the cylinder face split on one side, you can create surface bodies by extruding the exploded text partially into the cylinder.  Then use the Split Face command and choose the bodies as the splitting tool.  This will prevent the split from extending through the entire cylinder.

I's nice to do this with surface too!

Not so elegant...but sometimes I delete that faces directly.  🙄
