On my school we are trying to make a portable version of autodesk fusion 360, so that we can run fusion on each and every computer, of of a usb-stick. It works, until you try to login. After you press the button login, it gives this error: unable to set up fusion 360 for your autodesk account. I'll put in my log file, any help is apreciated!

Hi @Lee14141,

Why can't you install it locally?

Cheers / Ben

Hi BeyondForce,

If we try to install localy our server gets problems with the different virtual disks and machines, so that is could be installed, but not used from every account and device.

Okay, I'm guessing you are login into a virtual machine and you don't have admin right to install Fusion locally. Is that correct?

Hi,

We've solved the error by searching some more. We stumbled upon tis page: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Net... which say this:

Verify settings:

  • The computer's Time and Date settings are set correctly.
  • The user name does not use Special Characters that are not supported.
  • Ports 80 and 443 are open.
  • The following domains have anonymous access through the proxy server for installation.

*.autodesk.com
*.autodesk360.com
*.google-analytics.com
*.akamaiedge.net

The part colored red was the problem, but google analytics is not needed to solve this error, which migth be good to know for people who don't want data mining to happen on their system.

Greets, Leon

Many thanks
