Unable to select lines during sketch (behind body)

When I'm creating a sketch, some lines overlap with existing bodies making it impossible to select these lines. Is there anyway to select them without hiding the bodies.

Hi there,

If you right click the body in question (or the entire bodies folder if needed) there is an option to make it unselectable. This will keep it visible but stops it interfering with making selections.

It would perhaps be nice to have an option added to slice the model by the sketch plane to make it easier to see what you're doing, like the F7 comand in Inventor I beleive.

I hope that helps

Try left clicking and hold. A menu should pop up allowing you to select objects not in the foreground.

Thanks, that works. Not as convenient as in SW though.

Also, is it not possible to trim referenced/projected lines (purple lines)?

And how do I tell if the lines are fixed? They are always blue.

You get used to the long hold to select when there is ambiguity, and the same action works throughout the UI.

To be able to trim projected lines you need to first break the link (right click).

Fixed sketch lines are green, but if you have old eyes like me it's a really subtle difference. It would be nice if there were an indicator in the menu (open or closed lock, for instance).

Sorry, wrong choice of word. I don't mean lines with a 'fix' constraint, but constrained lines, and fully constrained sketch. I read somewhere that it was implemented.

Implemented, but currently in preview and not turned on by default. You can find it in the preferences:
