Thread Milling

I'm trying to make a small container out of steel and I have very little experiene with Fusion360.

The problem I'm trying to attack is the thread milling, I need to be able to attach the top and bottom peice and have no idea where to start. The screen shot attached shows cross-sections of the peices in question. I've created revolutions for each sketch, and I need to make them fit together so the threads are in the 3x1 mm gap when the top peice is shifted 2mm down.

Any help would be appreciated. I'm planning on using a 1/4x3/4x3/16 inch mill form tormach, and I'll be repeting this process many times over with similar threading profiles. Thanks!

I think the sketch you have there will work!

Use the revolve command to make your two halves, then use the thread command to add modelled threads of the same size to these faces:

The thread command will automatically resize the the diameter of the face you are applying the threads to, but you might have to play around to find the right thread size that works for the diameter you want.

The thread modeling should take care of the tolerance between the internal and external thread.
