When I attempt to mirror features which include a pattern across a midplane I am getting the error "No pattern instances could be intersected with the original body. Try adjusting the pattern settings, or changing the selections."
Find my design attached. I am trying to mirror the cabinet side including the drawer runner bodies and circular cuts created with a rectangular pattern according to the user parameter TRAY_COUNT.
Steps to recreate error:
- Open mirror function
- Select 'Features' object type
- Select the features: Extrude2, Extrude4, Extrude5, R-Pattern2
- Select Mirror Plane: Plane1
- Click OK
I am very far from an expert. I think what I am trying to achieve is clear. How best to do it?
- perhaps my use of pattern function is misguided. eg I do not need 2 axis but cannot get rid of 2nd.
- perhaps I need to mirror and then pattern both sides separately?
Any help appreciated. Thanks.
