Unable to display (and snap to) midpoint on a rectangle's edge

Here is what i did:

1) select create sketch

2) draw a rectangle.

3) Now I want ot draw a line from the midpoint of the rectagle's edge to somewhere.

When I clicked menu sketch > line, and then hover near the center of rectangle's edge, there is no icon indicatiing it is the midpoint.

I tried to click midpoint under Constraint in sketch palette, but it does not enable snap to midpoint.

It seems to be doing something else....   not intuitive...

How do I snap to midpoint on any edge or line?

And how do I make F360 shows the cursor is near a midpoint

@Anonymous

This is how it should work.

Thank you.

My problem is not drawing the line.

My problem is not able to see any icon changes at the mouse pointer to indicate

it is near or on the midpoint.

It looks like this is not possible, and we have to guess where the midpoint is, correct?

Unless I am mistaken, I did not see any changes in icon at the mouse pointer when it is near the midpont

in your demo.

You can see in Phil's screencast when the mouse pointer is near the mid point the icon appears, does it not work for you.

Thank you.

Is it possible to click the line and let F360 snap to the midpoint

instead of searching for the midpoint.

I have to hover very very slowly around the midpoint area untill the triangle shows up!

The second rectangle in my video showed how to do this.

One way to make it less sensitive is to zoom out, if the line you're trying to find the mid point of is the full width of your screen finding the middle is quite difficult, zoom out so it's only 10 to 15mm long and it will snap to mid and end points easily.

What I think @Anonymous is asking for is better control over snapping.  See this recent thread:  object-snaps.

Unfortuntately, Fusion does not yet have support for this, although we are definitely discussing how best to add this to Fusion.
