Unable to create rectangular pattern

I'm getting the following error when trying to create a rectangular pattern:

Compute failed: One or more pattern instances could not be intersected with the original body. Try adjusting the pattern settings, or changing the selections.

The operation I'm performing is very similar to ones I've performed before, in the same model. Video attached, and I have also attached an exported model file. Any thoughts on what Fusion is unhappy about?

(On a related note: my number one request for Fusion is less cryptic error messages. Instead of a generic description of the error, if Fusion could show me the pattern face or constraint or curve or whatever that is causing the problem, I would personally fly out to Autodesk's headquarters and high five every member of your development team.)

I found it fails sometimes and works sometimes. One thing you can try is set the count to 9, click OK then edit and change to 10.

I've tried variants of that without any luck, unfortunately.

Strange I found it was 50\50 using 10 and works everytime if I start with 9 then change to 10.

Have you tried without selecting the 2 vertical faces, that worked first time for me.

The key thing seems to be to use the window selection tool to grab all the relevant pattern faces, rather than clicking on each individually. Even though it looked like I was selecting everything, there were clearly some important faces or edges that were left out in my original pattern. Thanks!

I just read through this thread and tried the window selection and it fixed my issue as well. Thanks.

It was interesting because mine was a circular pattern and it previewed it perfectly before hitting OK. Then it gave me that error.

Lesson learnt.
