Unable to combine/delete bodies due to dependencies

Ok, this is my 1st post and I'm completely new to Fusion 360 & parametric design. This is probably a dumb question but I just cannot figure it out and have not found anything on the net that seams to address my problem.

The problem is that I created a design and when I combined bodies 23, 24, 25, and 26 they were added to body24 but bodies 23, 25, and 26 are still there. When I try to delete 23, 25, or 26, it tells me that "This feature is referenced by other features in the timeline" but for the life of me I cannot figure out how/where? I know it's something I did and it has happened before but I don't know why and more important, how do I avoid it? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @carlossommer1 ,

The reason the bodies are still there after you combine them is you have Keep Tools checked in the Edit Feature dialog.

If you would like to only have one body after the combine is done then uncheck that box and that should fix it.

In your Combine dialog box, you left the check mark for Keep Tools.  I imagine you want to remove it for both your combine operations.

No problem, we all have to start somewhere, that's what the forums are for 🙂
