I'd like to ask the community where I can find the equivalent function to this in Fusion 360.

Hi if i coudl understood you correctly, may I suggest two ways to achieve maybe the same thing. Select "Create Form" or "Sculpt" if using the "Direct Modeling" mode. Then maybe create a cylinder. Click Edit Form and select to edit Vertices. There could be two ways. You can select the Vertices directly and then shift them. Or you can select to edit "Tangent Handles" . You will have to search out the operations of "Tangent Handles" . I had found that "Tangent Handles " are very cool features. I used that to create perfume bottles.

 

1) Editing the vertices on the top or the cylinder:

2) Selecting and editing "Tangent Handles" (the colored dots below the top vertices):

I believe the above work flows on editing Vertices or "Tangent Handles" will give you what you wanted in Fusion 360.

In case of a loft operation, please create the loft at the "Create Form" mode (Sculpt in DM mode), then select the vertices you wanted to edit the position. Select Edit Form to change the position of the vertices (or Tangent Handles):

This can easily be achived with proportional editing in the T-Spline environment.

With the "Edit Form" dialog open you need to select "Soft Modification" and in this case "Linear"

Then there is a little double arrow handle that needs to be pulled to define how many edge loops you want the effect to apply to.

Fuison 360's visual feedback is really beautifully done.

Thanks very much for your quick replies. That is exactly what I was after. How do I then go about giving it a thickness for eventual 3D printing?

There are two places where you can do that.

 

When still in the Sculpt/T-Spline environment there is "Modify->Thicken"

 

You can also change from the Sculpt into the Model mode and use "Create->Thicken"

 

The latter one is more compute intensive and both create differnt output.

Just play around with these commands and seee what suits you need better.
