Trying to draw a rectangle around a grid of hexagons

Hello,
So I have this sketch and want the rectangle to be around my grid of hexagons by specifying the gap between the rectangle sides and the hexagons.

If I do that my hexagons get all messed up:

I tried to fix my hexagons with the lock, but it tells me my sketch is overconstrained.

I'm going mad here, I do not understand why Fusion refuses to move the rectangle and prefers to mess the hexagons which should not be able to lose their shape.

What is the aim? Keeping your Sketches as simple as possible may not be a Commandment but it is usually a good idea.  Is this going to be a decorative item?

Hi,

1. create 2 hexagons for this purpose and determine their size and position
2. extrude (cut) the 2 profiles
3. create an arrangement of the cut-outs with the corresponding quantities in 2 axes and the required distances

Solved,
All I had to do was make one side of my hexagon of reference horizontal:

Hi,

watch the screencast and follow the timeline

The ‘body 2’ surface is used to limit the pattern to the reference area, whereby only complete hexagons are cut.

The shape of this reference surface can be customised.
