Trying to delete a face in Fusion...

I keep trying to delete a face, because I'm making a case for my Nintendo Switch, and I want it to latch on the back of it, however I cannot delete a face so I could make the case stay on. Whenever I keep trying, it comes up with an error saying "The operation could not heal the edited region of the model." Is there any way to fix this?

You are working in a CAD software, not a polygon modeler, so deleting a face might not result in what you want.

Also, the screenshot is utterly meaningless.

Maybe share your design.

Hi @Anonymous!

When you want to delete a face, you need to move into the Patch Workspace. In the model workspace, the deleted face tries to heal itself to maintain a watertight solid but in patch it does not. Here is more information about the Patch Workspace

Thanks,

It worked, thanks! I didn't know I had to go into Patch.

What? You're prompting for MORE questions? I think your brain has an emissive appearance applied to it.

This is probably the best answer I have ever seen for any technical question in my life. You clearly understood the question and gave a quick concise answer instead instead of trying to sound superior, like so many other people on these kinds of places. I wish more people were like you.
