Trying to create a design on the new iPad Pro

So I purchased the newest IPad pro and pencil with the intention of being able to design on the go as it is what I like to do on my free time, but since downloading and setting up fusion 360 I have not been able to create a design I am able to view designs and projects but my intentions were primarily to create and design. Am I doing something wrong is there a solution I’m not seeing ? Please help thank you.

The iOS apps are viewers only. The browser version of Fusion 360- does not run on mobile devices as far as I am aware. The best app to create 3D CAD models on the iPad Pro is Shapr3D

I also was sold a new iPad Pro on the promise that I could create on the go with fusion 360. So now I just have an expensive art toy.

I was surprised by this too. I jumped headfirst into Apple products and discovered no design work for Fusion360 on iPhone 12 Pro and iPad Pro 2021. Luckily, Fusion360 works great on the new MacBook Pro. I'm trying to wean myself off of Vectric Aspire, but I haven't tried Fusion 360 GRBL toolpaths yet.

Just thought I'd add my +1 for iPad support. I'm completely ignoring Fusion 360 at this point because the workflow with Shapr3D on my 11" iPad Pro is just too good, even though Fusion 360 can be a more comprehensive product in various ways. If all you're doing is direct modeling, Shapr3D is hands-down the better product. If you require parametric modeling, you won't be able to do that in Shapr3D at time of writing, but I hope that changes.

Additionally, I find that Shapr3D responds to customer requests and feedback much better than Autodesk does. They are also coming out with a Windows version if you're not an iOS/macOS user.

That said, if Fusion 360 were offered on iPad Pro, I would be hard-pressed not to consider it for the power of its parametric modeling.

You would think autodesk might actually say “btw, this isn’t a real program”. So frustrating trying to figure out how to create a project. Shapr3D is a million times better, no exaggeration. I think I’m addicted to it.

Can you elaborate on what you are referring to with: "this"?

The iPad version of fusion 360. It’s just a viewer, but I spent a lot of time on it without knowing that until I got tot this threads.

Ahh, yes. I can see that it is confusing. To be honest, I also don’t really know what purpose that viewer serves. The web viewer is much better.

Late reply to ur post but I have a iPad Pro 12.9 3rd gen and I recommend using the pc/tablet companion program called DUET. You can connect your tablet and the PC that you are using fusion 360 on together wirelessly but I would recommend connecting them by USB-C to reduce latency. Duan is a type of screen sharing program but it allows most of the processes to be ran on your primary workstation PC but allowing you the design capabilities of using the pencil
