Trying align a square tubing - how to create a point where I want to snap it together?

I have created a square tubing and a wire frame. I'd like to be able to snap my square tubing's center to the line's endpoint and then align it. I can do it acceptably on the corner or edge, but I'd like to be able to use the center of the tube.

I tried going back to the sketch and creating a point there, but no point appeared in the extruded body. Because it's an educational license I don't seem to be able to share a public link. Here are some screen shots.

Accepted solution

You don’t need the sketch,  extra work and clutter, (not fully defined will not work anyway)

hover the mouse over the end face of the tube,

White snap points will appear,

hold Control and select the white centre point.

Might help.....

Yes, that seems to be what I'm looking for! However, when I hover I see the white point in the middle I want, but holding down CTRL doesn't stop it from disappearing when I try to get my mouse over to it.

EDIT: I wasn't in point-to-point move at that time. Once I was, it stayed around for me to select. Thanks!

Works my end,

when the blue face is selected hold down control and left click the centreoid.

Would work the same for Joint, and Move Tool.  Each have different selected icons / triad
