Trouble w. sweep

Hello,

I am trying to model the vertical stabilizer of a (potential) rc plane. While i succeded with the fuselage and wing, this one defies me.

I have both the vertical cross section (side view, one sketch) and the horizontal cross section (profile, uploaded dxf inserted into design) available in Fusion, see below.

Basically creating the body should be simple, as the profile just needs to be moved along the leading edge (front part of the sketch) in parallel to its current plane while being scaled according to the lenth set by the distance between leading edge and trailing edge (backwards part of the sketch

I tried the following approaches:

- using the front section as the path and the backward section as guide -> profile rotated perpendicular to path and sweep stops at end of linear part of leading edge

- using the backwards section as path and front section as guide -> error message (the sweep could not be generated)

I would be glad for any sugestions on how to solve this challenge.

best regards,

Martin

You cannot generat a sweep like that as it is not a sweep.

A loft could possibly work, but I think you will need another  rail to connect the two existing curves in the z-direction. You may need more than one rail.

Thanks a lot, LOFT worked.

However i had to insert additional profiles inbetween and to create the Loft step by step, i.e. first creating a body between two profiles, subsequently the new body while combining it to the existing one upon creation.
