Title blocks, drawing templates and related stuff

A while back, whilst I was using a Personal License, I created a drawing with a new title block on it giving the title block a new name, AJXXX.  I'd started from the standard ISO template, but worked out subsequently that I needed to use Third Angle projections.  The problem with using ASMR as a start point is I don't seem able to get A4/A3 paper sizes, hence the use of ISO.  I override the default projection angle for ISO in my preferences so that it used third angle.  Phew...that's the brief background.

I now have a full license so I created a new drawing template, starting with that first drawing, and made some changes to the Title Block, which I saved.  All well and good I thought: I went ahead and created around 10 new drawings (so far) using the new template.  However, I have just realised that all my drawings are still using First Angle projections, presumably because that first drawing was created before I overrode my preferences.

If I create a new Drawing Template so that it uses Third Angle, I'm not able to select my Title Block, AJXXX - only the ISO standard one is available.  There appears to be no way to update an existing drawing to change the projection angle nor to apply a new template, overriding any existing values.

Am I stuck with creating a new template, re-creating the title block, and then re-creating drawings from this new template?  Any ideas to help?  It would at least be helpful if I could re-use the title block AJXXX in the new template.

Hi @ad_johnson6E7LY

Take a look here: https://clintbrown.co.uk/2021/07/15/switching-title-blocks/#more-4651

This will allow you to pull in a title block from another template.

Clint, Gunther, thanks for this.  So I now have a new template with the right projection angle and title block in it.  I didn't realise title blocks only existed in templates, I thought (assumed really) that I could save them in their own right and select them where needed.

I take it there is no way to update the existing drawings with the new template OR to change the existing drawings to use third angle?

You cannot change the projection angle in a drawing.

Yeh, I've sucked it up and have started re-doing the drawings (for the third time!)
