Timeline too long/scrolling

I have a design with anough features so that the entire timeline cannot be seen at once.

There seems to be no intuitive way to scroll the timeline left/right (without moving the marker)?

You can scroll with the mouse-wheel when hovering over the Timeline, also there is a scroll bar immediately above it, in dark grey (not so easy to detect the first time).

Yes that scroll bar is hard to spot!  Its also partially covered by the comments and view bars on the left.
