[Threads] Validating the specifications of Autodesk thread dimensions

In Fusion 360 I have numerous options to add a thread with generic dimension. I want to choose a thread for which I do not need to design my own cap, but buy a standard thread.

The cap I want to use is most likely a DIN 45 cap fitting on a neck with the following specs:

If however I choose the DIN options in the following Fusion 360 menu I get very different dimensions and not the option I am looking for. I suspect the DIN pipe threads are not related to the threads use for standard (European) bottle / jerrycan threads:

The most likely variant I am looking for is the ISO metric profile with a 45mm thread with a 4mm pitch, but I would be very much helped if someone could confirm:

The bottlecap I am about to buy is usually referred to as a DIN 45, GL45, Ø 45 or 45 OV cap. I'll add a picture:

Is there a more specific description for the threading options Fusion 360 offers me?

Hi Auke,

Currently Fusion provide most common thread types for user, so there is no thread option for bottle / jerrycan thread.

If you are creating a cosmetic thread, the ISO metric profile M45x4 will looks like a DIN45.

But if you are creating a physical thread("Modeled" is checked), it would be a new requirement for us. Because currently Fusion can build 4 kinds of shaps for thread: 1----trapezoid; 2---sharp; 3----square; 4-----withworth. The DIN45 thread is buttress thread, we need add new function to support this kind of thread profile.

If you strongly want to build bottle/jerrycan thread in physical way, please post a requirement in IdeaStation for Fusion product team.

Thank you!

Michael
