Hi all,
I am a postgraduate student of Mechanical Engineering and have a BE in Mechatronics Engineering. As of today, I have long completed the required coursework for the degree program but my thesis is still pending. And I haven't got a clue about what to do, let alone how?
I have pretty much given up hope.
The sole purpose of this post is to seek ideas for research thesis that utilize Fusion 360 or at least revolve around computing methods & numerical techniques.
I have already tried my luck with this post on a different forum (https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-computer-aided/research-opportunity-using-with-fusion-360/...), but the results have been in vain. I was suggested to post it here by a fellow member (@LibertyMachine). So here I am.
Here's an example of (sort of) what I'm looking for.

I believe the concept is called a Macro. I need to brush up a little on my understanding of the term (feel free to enlighten), but I think this is what I'm looking for.
The thing is, being a Mechatronics Engineer, I'm good with programming as well as with basic Mechanical Engineering. It's my strong suit. I can develop and understand algorithms in almost any language once I understand 2 things.
- The syntax (not the tough part usually)
- What is it that I need to do (slightly tougher part for me)
So, once I understand the steps to execute it's easy to code it. I've also studied Numerical Methods, am good with it, interested in it, and again being a Mechatronics Engineer they come in handy with the FEA.
I'm just trying to connect the dots here, please correct me or help me however possible. I would be much grateful for any help because my entire Masters is contingent upon this. The coursework is already complete.
